As we are located a little over an hour north of Charleston you can enjoy the serenity of our quiet beaches one day and take a day trip back in time to the antebellum period of our country’s history the next. Walk along the Battery, take a carriage ride, visit Fort Sumpter, or tour Boone Hall Plantation. If you’re feeling more 20th Century, you can visit the state’s newest aquarium (overlooking Charleston Harbor and its famous bridges) or tour Patriot’s Point Marine Museum, where the aircraft carrier USS Yorktown, the destroyer USS Laffey, the cold-war submarine USS Clamagore and the Coast Guard Cutter Ingham are moored.

Only 25 miles to our north is Myrtle Beach. There you will find entertainment geared toward families at The Pavilion Amusement Park, NASCAR Speed Park, Myrtle Waves Water Park, two dinner show theaters (Medieval Times & Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede), and the IMAX Discovery Theater, as well as outstanding “after dark” entertainment at the Celebrity Square nightclubs at Broadway at the Beach, the House of Blues, or any of the dozens of clubs along the “Pawleys Island” which regularly have top-quality live music.
