About Garden City

Garden City, a coastal South Carolina town sometimes known as Garden City Beach, is located just south of Myrtle Beach. Though the Garden City of today is home to more than 9,000 residents, tragedy struck Garden City in 1954, when Hurricane Hazel hit the city, leaving only 2 houses habitable.

Garden City is home to Marlin Quay Marina, which offers a variety of sport fishing and parasailing opportunities for the outdoor enthusiast in your family. A number of golf courses are also located in the Pawleys Island area, many of which are within a short drive from Garden City.

If you travel just 10 miles north of Garden City, you will find yourself in Myrtle Beach, among a variety of shopping, dining and entertainment opportunities for those of all ages.
