Land ActivitiesThe Carolina Opry 8901-A Business 17 North,Myrtle Beach (800) 843 - 6779 The Carolina Opry: "An entertainment phenomenon" ~ Southern Living Magazine.
There are two things that you have to see when you come to the Grand Strand: the ocean, and The Carolina Opry. It's that simple. The first variety show in Myrtle Beach - and still the jewel in its crown, The Carolina Opry has for 21 years been thrilling the hundreds of thousands of visitors who pass through its doors each year. The New York Times calls it "A hit with visitors," The New York Post calls it "A Hot Ticket" and USA Today reports it "A Big Hit." "Talk about high energy! That's entertainment!" (Atlanta Journal-Constitution).
The award-winning show blends two hours of critically acclaimed music, comedy and dance - from Broadway to country, from classic pop to rock'n roll, and gospel to bluegrass. Also featuring "All That" - the hotter-than-hot urban cloggers featured on the hit NBC show "America's Got Talent." Directed and produced by Calvin Gilmore (performer on the Grand Ole Opry and winner of the Best Producer award at IGCITA in Las Vegas) The Carolina Opry is the only show to receive every top tourism award, including the coveted Governor's Cup, and Most Outstanding Attraction, the only show that has been voted #1 show every year, and the only show to have an official day (Carolina Opry Day) proclaimed for the State of South Carolina by the Governor. If you only see one show while you're in Myrtle Beach, it must be the show that brought entertainment to Myrtle Beach - The Carolina Opry. From the moment you enter the stunning two-story marble lobby, you know you are in for an extraordinary experience that your family will remember long after the tans have faded and the sand has been shaken from the shoes.
The Carolina Opry Theater is located at 8901 Highway 17 North in Myrtle Beach at Mile Marker 204. Shows will sell out. Call (800) 843-6779 or (843) 913-4000, or purchase tickets online at www.TheCarolinaOpry.com.
