iIn the year 1991 Country Music Stars Alabama had a desire to return to their musical roots-Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where they honed and nurtured their talent and impressive three-part harmonies while playing at a local night club for tips. Wanting to bring a unique perspective to the existing entertainment industry currently on the "Grand Strand", Alabama approached Gaylord Entertainment to collaborate with Alabama in writing, directing and producing a nightly production show incorporating all musical types and styles. Garylord Entertainment, then owner of the Grand OL' Opry, Opryland, Opryland Hotels, TNN & CMT to name a few, was no starnger to big time show business.
